1. Review Acceptance Package:

Please make sure to complete all 7 steps included in your acceptance package. All these steps must be completed in order to successfully create your account in CUNYfirst and register for classes. The 7 steps can be found here

2. Review Orientation Site:

• Please explore the orientation site for resources, program expectations and a step-by-step registration tutorial (under the registration tab).

3. Review your CUNYfirst Account:

• Before registering, check your Student Center in CUNYfirst for your enrollment day and time under ‘Enrollment dates’ so you can plan ahead
• Review your Holds to make sure you do not have any holds that would prevent you from registering.

4. Review your Curriculum Grid to guide your course registration:

• Follow your curriculum grid and register for ALL the listed classes per semester.

• If you have questions, please confirm your registration with an academic advisor (See contact information below)

5. Plan your Schedule:

• Be sure you are clear about program expectations including both your coursework and field hours required towards completing your degree. You can refer to your curriculum grid and field education page for clarity around program demands and expectations.

• Carefully review information and documents on the Practicum Education Page on our Orientation Site.

6. Review the Student Orientation Packets

7. Attend Virtual Orientation Sessions:

• Attend Zoom Orientation session about Registration
• Attend Zoom Orientation Session about the Orientation materials
• Attend Zoom Orientation Session about use of technology and resources

8. Complete the Mandated Reporter Training:

• The Mandated Reporter Training through NY State can be found here: Mandated Reporter Training
• Once you complete the training, complete this form and upload your certificate here.

9. Review, Sign and Submit the Student Agreement:

• This document includes five sections regarding Silberman School policies and procedures. Please read carefully.
• The Student Agreement can be found here: Student Agreement
• Once you have reviewed, please sign and submit.

10. To obtain your OneCard Student ID visit: OneCard Student ID

• Once you set up mobile ID, you will have smooth access into Hunter and Silberman buildings
