All students get a Hunter email address upon admission and matriculation.

The student email address follows this format including your name and the last two digits of your EMPL ID: firstname.lastname##@stu-mail.hunter.cuny.edu, e.g., [email protected]. The Web-based system is powered by Microsoft Office365. To learn more about your student email, click here.

Mobile Device Access

How do you set up your email account on mobile devices?

Apple iOS:

1. In the Outlook app, tap Inbox,
2. Select Settings,
3. Add an Account
4. Enter your CUNY Login and password (firstname.lastname##@login.cuny.edu) 
5. Follow the prompts to authenticate or (If the MFA has been enabled) verify the account 

Android:

1. In the Outlook app, go to Menu
2. Select Settings
3. Add an Account
4. Enter your CUNY Login and Password (firstname.lastname##@login.cuny.edu)
5. Follow the prompts to authenticate or (If the MFA has been enabled) verify the account. 

How do I install Microsoft Office 365 on mobile devices?

Wifi Access on Campus

Any member of the Hunter College community (students, faculty, and staff) with a Hunter NetID can use Hunter’s wireless network. Follow the below instructions to access wifi on campus:

Ensure you are in an area of campus that has coverage.

Ensure you know your Hunter NetID username and password.

Follow the HunterSecure setup instructions appropriate for your device.

After the initial setup you may use the internet normally and will (re)connect automatically when in range.
